The weekend of Friday, September 26th through Sunday, September 28th will provide a whole set of fun events on the Northshore. Friday starts,the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship and will be taking place in Coolidge Park through Sunday. Chattanooga is going to the dogs...disc-catching dogs that is. The most talented canine athletes on earth will take to the skies to compete in the 2014 World Championship. Saturday evening Wine Over Water will occur on the Walnut Street Bridge from 5-8 pm. Wine Over Water is Tennessee's premier wine-tasting festival. You can sample wines from over 100 world wineries, while you stroll the historic Walnut Street Bridge, which spans the scenic Tennessee river. Built in 1890, it's one of the world's longest pedestrian bridges and was the first bridge to link Downtown Chattanooga to the North Shore. Lastly, Ironman Chattanooga will take place on Sunday the 28th. PLUM NELLY WILL BE OPEN ON SUNDAY FROM 1-5 PM. Stroll Frazier Avenue in the afternoon and cheer on all the runners as they finish the race with the marathon portion. Runners will be coming down Frazier twice as they run the course. GALLERY HOP 2014 - SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6th 2pm until 8pm
- The Association for Visual Arts (AVA) is pleased to present the eighth annual AVA Gallery Hop.
- The Gallery Hop will feature galleries and artist studios in and around Downtown Chattanooga.
- During the Gallery Hop, the public can meet local artists, watch demonstrations and learn about the artists’ creative processes at their studios. Galleries will have special exhibitions on display, and refreshments will be provided at most venues.
- A map featuring the location of each gallery and studio will be available at all participating galleries. This specially designed guide will enable “hoppers” to create their own route during the event and can also be used throughout the year for visitors interested in touring the local arts scene.
